How do we prepare our students for this?
Our weekly mock exams are designed to improve students' ability to execute. It features selective school test-styled questions and examines a range of topics. This allows us to closely monitor the students' progress and improvement towards meeting the requirements for success in the selective test.
Throughout the course, we provide guidance and strategies on how to improve these exam techniques. Understanding concepts well is one thing, but knowing how to execute them effectively in an exam-pressure environment is another.

How do we prepare our students for this?
Speed and accuracy are trainable skills.

Homework corrections: we require our students to mark their own homework and spend at least 1 hour in the week to correct all their homework mistakes before handing in their work. Most students focus on DOING lots of practice, but this will only get so far without the ability to identify their own mistakes and knowing how to correct it efficiently.
